Entrance sculpture and landmark to Cypress Waters a 1,000 acre recreation development in the heart of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, just five minutes from DFW International Airport. This exciting new project was commissioned by Billingsley Company and curated by New York Gallery Blank Space.
Elemental Skytower was created over a period of 9 months in the USA. Rob made frequent visits to sculpture fabricators to oversea the complicated work involved. Each section of 1″ solid round stainless steel bar had to be carefully placed and welded, slowly the sculpture formed, piece by piece.
The sculpture stands at 11 metres high [35ft] The project involved detailed planning with several scale maquettes and test samples to meet the visual and technical challenges of this unique artistic concept.
